Uncover Ancient Secrets with the Moonwood Relics Collection
Find out about the origins of werewolves – and even vampires & spellcasters – with the Moonwood Relics collection. The town of Moonwood Mill is full of little knick-knacks for you to find, but for certain werewolf Sims it gets even more interesting. Decipher the engravings and uncover the secrets they hold!
This collection is only available with The Sims 4 Werewolves.
How to Collect the Moonwood Relics
There are two methods to collect the relics of Moonwood Mill, one of which is only available to werewolves with specific powers, but more on that later. First, let me explain the method which is available to any type of Sim, then we’ll move on to the werewolf-only method.

Explore the Underground Tunnels
Moonwood Mill has a tunneling system, and you have to get in there to explore it. There are three entrances to the Underground. One is the bunker entrance near the home of the Volkov household, another is the sewer grate behind the Grimtooth Bar & Bunker and the last one is near the lumber yard at the riverbank, inside one of the porta potties.
Whenever you enter the tunnels through one of the entrances, you’ll get a few pop-up messages. Pick whichever seems the most logical choice to you and see what the results are. Your Sim might return with an item, such as books, a wand or – the items we are actually looking for – relics. Beware, your Sim might also return with the werebies! Yikes!
In Build & Buy Mode, you could also place a Moonwood Mill Tunnel Entrance on any lot – even your home – to enter the Underground.
Scavenge for Collectibles
The second method is only available for werewolves with a specific skill set. Purchase the Scavenge ability to be able to dig around in Moonwood Mill to find collectibles. You can use the ability in other worlds too, but you won’t find any relics there. Click on any spot on the ground and use the Scavenge Ground interaction to start digging.
To be able to pinpoint wherever the relics are buried, you can also purchase the Enhanced Smell ability. You will need to rank up to Runt in order to unlock this ability. Click on the ground to use the Smell Here interaction first to detect fumes coming from certain spots on the ground. If you dig there you’ll find a relic – or any other Moonwood related items – instead of other collectibles. This will speed up the process a lot more.

Decipher Engravings
You might notice that the description of each of the items won’t tell you much at first. It tells you to let a werewolf with the Lunar Epiphany dormant ability decipher the engravings on the relics. So this is exactly what we are going to do.
Whenever you are a werewolf, you’ll need to read three werewolf-related books to unlock the dormant ability. That’s it. You will now have the ability to use the Decipher Engravings interaction on each relic. You should use the interaction on each item separately. Put together they will tell you an interesting story about werewolves, spellcasters and vampires!
