Gain Popularity to Become an Admired Icon

Your Sim loves to be in the center of attention! Their style is impeccable and everybody in town knows it. This is exactly why they have the Admired Icon aspiration. This guide will explain exactly how to enter the spotlight and achieve your goals as a social media star.

This aspiration is only available with The Sims 4 High School Years.

Prepare for your Aspiration Goals

The Admired Icon is a teen-only aspiration. When you pick this aspiration for your Sim, you’ll notice that it is heavily focused on socializing with other Sims. There are a few things you can do to prepare.

• Level up the Charisma Skill
  Charismatic Sims have an easier time socializing with others. Increase your Charisma skill by interacting with others or by practicing in the mirror.
• Complete the Social Butterfly Aspiration as a Child
  This will increase the speed in which you level up social skills – such as Charisma – when you’re older.

Pick the Right Traits

Nice Sims will befriend others easier than Sims who are Mean or Socially Awkward. Picking the right traits for your aspiring icon will help a lot, here are some suggestions. Teens can only have two personality traits selected in Create a Sim, so choose wisely.

	Cheerful Sims in a positive mood have an easier time interacting with other Sims.
	Outgoing Outgoing Sims crave hanging out with others, just like this aspiration is asking of you.
	Party Animal As these Sims are all about popularity, why not make them the life of every party?
	Self-Assured Confident Sims also have an easier time with social interactions.

Reach the Aspiration Milestones

The Admired Icon aspiration has three milestones in total. We’ve explained each of the goals below.

Everyone’s Bestie

• Join a T-Pose Challenge
  Click on a Teen doing the T-Pose Challenge and choose the Join T-Pose Challenge interaction. After completing the T-Pose Challenge at least once, you can also click on your own Sim to start the interaction.
• Make 10 Teen Friends
  Befriend 10 teenage Sims. Existing friendships do not count towards this.
• Post on Social Bunny 5 Times
  Open the Social Bunny app on your phone and post 5 times. Automated posts from pop-ups do not count towards this.

Clout Chaser

• List 5 Outfits on Trendi
  Create 5 separate outfits at the ThrifTea store, then list them on Trendi. You can find the outfits you made in your Sims’ inventory.
• Earn Gold on any Hosted Party
  Plan a Social Event via your phone and earn a gold event medal. This can be any kind of goaled event like a Spooky Party, Dinner Party or even a Weenie Roast, as long as your Sim is the host of the event.

Admired Icon

• Have 250 Followers on Social Bunny
  Keep posting on Social Bunny until you gain enough followers. Your follower count will be updated periodically.

Completion Reward

Your Sim will get the Iconic reward trait. These Sims will gain followers faster on social media platforms, such as Social Bunny and Simstagram.

Fixing the Social Bunny Follower Bug with Cheats

Sadly there is a bug which causes the game to not recognize your amount of Social Bunny followers. This affects the last Aspiration Goal as it won’t complete no matter how many followers you have. Sadly you can currently only fix the completion of the Admired Icon aspiration with cheats.

All cheats are tested by our own team first before posting them here. We made sure they work properly and are safe to use in your game.

Turn on Testing Cheats

These cheats require you to turn on Testing Cheats, so let’s do that first. Open up your Cheat Console and enter testingcheats true. You can now enter more cheats than before.

Cheat	Result
Aspirations.complete_current_milestone	Use this while on the ‘Admired Icon’ milestone of the aspiration. This will complete your ‘Have 250 Followers on Social Bunny’ goal regardless of how many followers you have.
Traits.equip_trait trait_Iconic	Unlock the Iconic Reward Trait without ‘officially’ completing the Admired Icon aspiration.

If you prefer to play without cheats you can turn off testing cheats again. Just change true to false and it’s switched off.

Reporting the Bug to EA

The bug has been in the game since The Sims 4 High School Years came out. By letting EA know you experience this bug, they get aware of the problem quicker. Make sure to check out this bug report and click on the Me Too button to let them know. Currently this bug is marked as ‘fixed’ by EA.

However, there’s also a bug where Social Bunny followers don’t increase at all. Here’s the separate bug report for that issue. This bug has not been fixed yet, so the issue still remains for some Simmers.
