Spice Things Up with the Herbs & Spices Legacy

So I recently stumbled upon this fun Legacy Challenge by Sunny & Missy, and I couldn’t resist sharing it here. It’s an 8-generation legacy packed with drama, storytelling, and colorful twists – and honestly, it has been a blast to play so far. If you’re looking for a fresh way to spice up your Sims 4 gameplay, you should definitely check it out too!

The original challenge was posted by Missy on Tumblr, but I’ve written up the full details below along with some Base Game suggestions for those of you who don’t own every DLC.

General Rules

Where would a Legacy Challenge be without rules? That being said, some rules are meant to be broken. If a certain rule feels to restrictive to you, feel free to adjust it to your liking.

• Start with 0 Simoleons. After moving into your first lot, you can cheat your remaining funds away with the Money 0 cheat.
• Complete all goals described for each generation, but feel free to skip the optional goals. This means you won’t have to reach the top of each Career or max out every Skill, unless specified.
• Feel free to use Cheats, Mods & CC as long as it doesn’t give you any advantages you wouldn’t normally have.
• Normal or Long Lifespans are recommended.

Here are a few more suggestions:

• If you want to feel a bit more time pressure set the Lifespan to Short.
• Each generation is given a favorite color. You can use these colors to create a Berry Sim Legacy.
• Give each Sim Likes & Dislikes based on their generation’s goals.

Generation 1 – Paprika

Teaching was your dream job, but when your partner walked out, you found yourself raising a child alone. You’ll be the best parent you can — no matter what.

Aspiration: Super Parent
Traits: Family-Oriented, two others of your choosing
Skills: Research and Debate, Logic & Charisma
Career: Education, any branch
Favorite Color: Red

Goals

• Complete the Super Parent Aspiration
• Reach the top of your Education Career
• Have a fling with a Non-Commital Sim and have their child, break up once you concieve
• After the failed relationship, never date or marry again
• Have one child only, preferably a male (most fun for Gen 2)
• Raise your child with a High Confidence
• Build a Close or Supportive Family Dynamic with your child

Optional Goals

• Max out the Research and Debate, Logic & Charisma Skills
• Get the Single & Loving It Lifestyle

Base Game Suggestions

Aspiration: Successful Lineage
Skills: Writing instead of Research and Debate
Career: Writer in the Author branch to represent teaching and sharing knowledge with other Sims
Goals:

• Become Best Friends with your child if you don’t have Family Dynamics
• Instead of raising your child with High Confidence, have them complete the Whiz Kid aspiration
